Busy Week

We've had a busy week! We were getting ready for Marlene & Memphis (and Brit and Brandon)'s arrival next week as well as having a few social things on ourselves.

We had to get the girl's vaccinated this week, they were so brave and had a bit of a cry until they got their Winnie the Pooh stickers, then they were all smiles.

They are both getting so much better with their words and both walk around constantly with a picture book in their hands trying to show off, livi's favorite new word is "truck", she has finally stopped calling every moving object "car".

Their new play gym equipment arrived for their play room, we're trying to make it as entertaining as possible as the hot weeks ahead will mean they are spending more time indoors.

I had my friend Jodi's birthday (who lives on the Palm too) last week at the 360 bar on the roof of the JBH hotel, it was just about 12 girls and lots of fun, amazing bar that is elevated above 360 degree water. We then had Chris' 28th birthday this Thursday just gone, we booked a private area at his favourite spot in Media city, was a fantastic night, with a great group of people.. we all decided to re-do it again this weekend at our place.

We are about to rent out the apartment, we got in a cleaning company to get it tenant ready, and we bought a villa on the Palm this week, we will probably rent this out too, as we have pre-paid a years rent on the villa we are in right now (its mandatory in Dubai to have a minimum of one year's rent up front). The villas are all going up like crazy right now, and the Palm is only 50% finished, so hopefully lots more room to grow.

Other than that, nothing new to report, Dustin's very excited about having his clan over soon, hopefully they wont die in the heat!! (45 degrees some days this week... lucky that Vegas weather has trained us all). We're taking them to Burj Al Arab for brunch on Friday and have many other goodies planned for their trip, including Ski Dubai and Wadi water park. I know they are mostly just excited about spending quality time with V and O, who have grown so much since they last saw them.

Suilamons 2nd birthday party

The girls were invited to their first birthday party here in Dubai.( at our neighbour's house).. they had a great time with the jumping castle, face painting and dancing. Everyone sang Happy Birthday in Arabic. The girls had the best time.
