Livi's Victory

Anybody who sees the girls a lot knows that Violet is the Alpha Twin, its a daily occurence for Violet to unknowingly take Livis toy or give her a shove... so today, when Violet took Livis yellow ball, she decided enough was enough!

I was unable to capture on the film the alleged stealing of the ball, but i did capture Livis facial expression before she pounced. The last pic Livi humbly basks in the knowledge the ball has been returned to its rightful owner.

Growing up fast.

Well things are certainly getting busier over on the Hamo ranch, but in a good way. The girls are just growing so fast, its scary. Violet is now crawling all over the house, and if it wasn't for her loud distinctive laugh every few paces, i'd never be able to find her. Liv is still content sitting in her play area, but gets quite distressed if Violet travels too far away, and ends crawling around trying to find her.

Its teething tantys galore as both the girls grow their pearly whites. Violet can brag 5 now with anotheree on the way, Liv can just brag painful gums! I think i have some fun months ahead with Liv and all her teeth. She's so cute though, she's so tiny and as long as she is pointing her toes ballet-style (in the bath, in the bed, on the change table) she's comfy.

Yesterday, Liv was so upset we set up a picnic blanket in the back yard, with books, pillows, toys, and whole scenario and just as we sat down to relax with the girls, Livi started screaming and at that moment i looked on the back of her neck and this huge ant had bitten her. Poor little muffin, so it was back inside with all the stuff, bad idea!

Finally an update

Well after a brief blogging hiatus I am back to update on the latest happenings with the girls!

It has been a huge month for us in terms of milestones. Most noteably, Violet cut four teeth and started commando crawling. Liv hasn't got any teeth yet but is commando crawling right behind her sister. They are now all over the shop. They both babble constantly with bububub and mamamama , and crack eachother up. Their favourite time is when they are in their pjs in bed and can see eachother through the bars of their cribs and chat away and giggle until sleep time.

Other than that, we've just been enjoying the winter a bit. We rug the girls up in their jumpers and beanies and take them for afternoon walks. They are also enjoying their weekly swimming lessons and music classes.

Dustin was away for a couple of weeks early this month, so its nice to have him back and he loves spending every spare minute with the girls.
