Today was my first Mother's Day, and it was a great day. Dustin pampered me in lieu of the girls (he surprised me with a beautiful eternity ring).
I told the girls next year they need to straighten up their act though, I expect breakfast-in-bed :=)
I had my whole family over today, and it was so nice having the cousins together. We had wiggles on and they had story time with Nanna.
Above are a couple of great pics with Grandpa and Nanna and the cousins.

Thank you Grandmama

The girls Grandmama (Nanaw) from America sent them over two sparkley books, and already they have had hours of fun with them (literally). They are going through a phase where they love anything shiny (usually its my pepsi max can) but these books are more than keeping them happy.
They miss seeing their Grandmama and Great-Grandmama whenever they like, but they love being spoilt with all the presents and cards.
Our week

The girls had a fun week! Last weekend they got to see Auntie Netty on Saturday, Grandpa and Nanna on Sunday (with a quick visit from Uncle Gary, Auntie Sheriden and Chloe) our friend Beck visited on Monday and played and help feed them. Then their Uncle Dave, Auntie Kym, Cousin Mitchel and their baby cousin Lucas came to visit as well as our friend Karen Love and her twin boys Jack and Ethan, then it was music class on Friday and finally on Saturday we all went to MacKenzie's 1st birthday party, where they got to see Mackenzie and their friends Bailey and Jade! Tomorrow is Mother's Day and the family are all coming over to our house which will be great.
In other news Liv has been sitting quite well for a week or so now, and she's trying so hard to crawl! Violet is quite content not crawling, as long as she has our undivided attention, if we look away she gives us a big squeal to get our eyes back watching her, which may be her sucking a toy or banging something repeatedly and vigorously with her little chubby hand, both of which, from her perspective should keep us entertained for hours!

Eternal Happiness
This old temple we visited (the largest wooden structure in the world) has this pole with a hole in it and if you can fit through it you supposedly receive "eternal happiness". Yay for me! The only problem is i went through it twice (so we could take a photo) and Wade said by doing it twice it undid my eternal happiness :-( .. this news made me unhappy, further proving his point.
An assortment of pics and update.

Here are some random pics of the girls over the past week or so.
As you can see Violet learnt to sit up and work on the laptop all in one week. She has been practicing for a few weeks but now sits up on her own for extended periods. Liv is about 2 weeks behind her, she sits up for about 5-6 seconds before she gets uncomfy.
The girls are at such a fun age but definitely more demanding, they hate to be apart and arn't quite as obliging as they used to be at nap time. I feel this is the tip of the iceberg of the coming months. Violet chats nonstop in baby babble and Livi just lets out a symphonic range of screeches which i'm sure to her sound like perfect pitch opera.

Eating is still an ordeal, Violet shuts her mouth so tight and wiggles her head so you can't get the spoon in, Livi is great with opening her mouth, she's just not so hot at swallowing, she'd much prefer to let it ooze out her mouth and then wipe it everywhere she can. Fun!!
